FORMADEUS.

FORMADEUS. is a distinguished interior design studio and concept store, offering an exquisite selection of handpicked and carefully curated items from various esteemed brands. With an unwavering focus on quality, they are experts in designing and decorating spaces that exude a timeless elegance. Driven by the ambition to introduce the luxurious Scandinavian standard of interior design to Malta, they have meticulously crafted a brand that evokes the comfort and tranquility of a Scandinavian home.

The team approached us with the wish to redesign their logo, refresh their brand identity, and design temporary shop windows as they opened up their concept store in Malta.

In our exploration of branding for the Scandinavian market, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of logos from prominent Scandinavian brands. Our findings highlighted a consistent theme of minimalism and clarity, characterized by the use of strong, impactful fonts and concise wording. Notably, several brands have successfully modernized their logos to resonate with a female demographic, achieving this through innovative plays on form and shape, coupled with the utilization of softer, more approachable fonts. A recurring element in these designs was the use of neutral and subdued color palettes.

Informed by these insights, we chose to develop a logo that embodies both boldness and elegance. The centerpiece of our design is a custom-crafted ‘A’, meticulously designed to impart a feminine essence while maintaining a striking presence. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the ‘A’ is conceptually significant; it subtly mirrors the ‘&’ symbol, a creative nod to our inspiration. This choice was influenced by the dual interpretation of the brand name as ‘FORM A DEUS’ or ‘FORM & DEUS’. Our design for the ‘A’ serves as a visual and thematic bridge, seamlessly connecting and enhancing the two segments of the brand name.

We created a main logo, and two separate icons to help distinguish the concept story and design studio. An illustration of the shop’s facade was also created, to tease customers about its opening.
